Winona, Minn., is a fascinating river town in the southeastern corner of Minnesota. Here are some photos I've taken over the past several years which capture some of its character and charm.
Note the style of houses and how close they are to one another.
The scenes I photograph aren't always postcard perfect. This house is obviously in need of some upkeep, but the scene tells a story, and that's what captures my interest.
Keeping with the theme of fall colors and Winona's houses, here's an irresistible combination of yellow and blue, highlighted by the unmistakable angle of autumn sunlight.
This building has quite a history. Unfortunately, the pizzeria & pub which occupied part of the building has now moved to a different location.
If you're driving, biking, or walking on Winona's East End, in the year 2019, you need to keep an eye out for this daily occurrence.

I'm told this used to be called Dutchmen's and it had both a bar and a laundromat. (Win!)
